Description of Responsibilities

At Aveanna, a DSP's responsibilities include helping in our clients' Everyday Lives by nurturing opportunities and supporting the individuals in their home and community.

Responsibilities

• Implement goals from ISP with consumer 1:1 services including but not limited to in home and community supports, companion services, and respite services.
• Instruct and reinforce target goals and outcomes according to ISP.
• Complete written documentation of services(s) provided upon completion of visit.
• Maintain appropriate professional conduct at all times.
• Assist in the development of consumer ISP and goal revisions as directed by team.
• Provides care in accordance with written instructions from professional staff.
• Reports immediately to supervisor any changes or concerns in the patient’s condition or any problems in assigned tasks.
• Is dependable and on time for assignments.

Minimum Qualifications

• Experience with ID/DD consumers preferred, but not required
• Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
• High school Diploma or GED.
• Good organizational and communication skills.
