Federal Senior Project Manager Your new role:
Looking to hire an experienced Federal Project Manager for an MD-based general contractor. This is an excellent opportunity to join a company with a proven track record of developing talent from within, as well as the chance to work on high-profile Federal and local Government construction projects in the DC area. With 20+ years of experience, this general contractor is seeking professionals who have a strong background in Federal construction.
Core Responsibilities:
- Help with the preconstruction and estimating efforts on the projects.
- Negotiate, award, write and enforce contracts.
- Review with superintendent project costs to ensure project is kept within budget.
- Build and maintain local market subcontractor relationships.
- Work with superintendent on job site logistics and schedule.
- Coordinate, negotiate, and manage change orders.
- Coordinate all close-out activities on a timely basis.
- Potential supervisory responsibilities of an Assistant Project Manager.
- High-profile federal clients include GSA, FBI, NAVFAC, USACE, Department of Defense, Department of State, and more.
- Projects can vary from renovations, SCIF, minor and new construction, alteration work, with a specialty in Design Build projects.
To be successful in this role:
- Ideal candidates will have 10+ years' experience working on Federal projects.
- Experience managing projects from start to finish.
- Top Secret Security Clearance
- Construction related degree preferred, ideally in Construction Management. Relevant experience would also be considered.
- Strong estimating, budgeting, and purchasing abilities are a bonus.
- Working knowledge of Procore

- Base salary up to $135k plus annual discretionary bonus.
